Talking Tom Cat is an interactive game designed for Windows 8.

Originally debuting in 2010 as an app on both iOS and Android devices, Talking Tom Cat for Windows 8 is the first game in the Talking Tom & Friends series and allows users to play the popular mobile game directly on their PC. Incredibly popular among users, especially with kids, the game is interactive and responsive with no goal but to have fun and laugh.

Designed specifically with kids in mind, Talking Tom is a virtual pet that follows the commands of the player. Players can perform a number of different actions and tasks with Tom, such as pet him, tickle his belly and feet, poke him, grab his tail, make him purr and watch him scratch the screen. Talk to Tom and he will react to your speech and repeat back what you say in a funny voice. Players can feed him milk and watch him dance around, play the cymbals or blow out candles, which are among his many talents. It's easy to control Tom by interacting with him in many different ways.

The game is easy to play and allows kids a chance to communicate with the virtual cat for lots of entertainment. Talking Tom Cat also offers users the ability to record videos of Tom doing just about anything, including speaking back to them. It’s easy to share the videos across social media with friends or watch them back later to relive the moment.

Talking Tom Cat is generally recommended for kids for its fun loving and innocent appeal. Talking Tom does not feature levels or a score, however, users can unlock different features that allow Tom to perform more tasks and talents for a more complete experience. Those looking for a challenging or addictive gameplay may not enjoy the interactive nature as there is no end result; it’s solely for fun and amusement. Younger kids, however, will love talking to Tom along with his many friends and will enjoy the 3D animation and interactive and responsive design.
